Club Trophies
Each year the Worksop Harriers Award various trophies (typically at our annual awards night) to it's members. These trophies range from inter-club competition rewarding the first Harrier finisher in designated races, to overall winner in the Grand Prix, recognition of contribution to the success of the club (both in and out of compeition). Some of our trophies are also dedicated to Harriers who are no longer with us, but their contribution to our history is recognised through an annual award in thier name.
Here you will find a list of what we award and the criteria for which it is awarded. All club compeition where Harriers are in direct compeition for trophies (e.g. Half Marathon Champion or Designated GP Races) require all Harriers to be visible identifiable as a Harrier such as wearing a club vest or t-shirt.

Worksop Harrier Half Marathon Champion
Seperate Male and Female Trophy Awarded to the first Male and Female Worksop Harrier to finish in the designated Half-Marathon championship each year. The race features as part of the grand prix and as typically rotated between Retford, Newark and Clowne Half-Marathons.
Gerald Storey Memorial Trophy
Awarded to the first Worksop Harrier to finish in the annual Gerald Storey Fun Run. The race has typically took place around the roads of Windmill Lane, Clumber and Worksop College and has changed between around the New Year, April and Late Spring
Alan Bowman Trophy
Awarded to the Worksop Harrier who has demonstrated the biggest annual improvement, the criteria for awarding has changed over time. Originally this was awarded as part of a boxing day handicap race. In more recent times the trophy has been awarded to the individual who has shown the largest age graded percentage improvement at parkrun to a previous year. This has now evolved to each year as part of our GP we have 5k parkrun (typically in December) and the Alan Bowman Trophy is awarded to the Worksop Harrier in that specific event with the largest single Age Grade improvement to a previous year. For example if someone achieves a 75% age grade in this specific race and their previous AG best in any previous year was 70% then they have improved 5%. The results are sanity checked against Po10 for anyone who has previous 5k experience but little parkrun experience so may have an artifically low AG.
