Mansfield AC hosted an early season outdoor T&F opener at Berry Hill and although the sun was shining, there was a strong cold wind blowing having an adverse effect on virtually all of the track races (lthough it was favourable long jump!) This early season Track and Field competition still produced some good performances, including a few pb's for the Harriers and bodes well for the rest of the season.

On Sunday the popular Rasselbock 6 hour challenge came to Clumber for the first time. Starting just up from the Walled Kitchen Gardens, runners head CW through the lake cut through and then around the lake, over the ornamental bridge and then back over icehouse plantation and climb for a 4.5 mile undulating lap. 6 hours in which runners complete as many laps as they like. Adrian Hopkinson was one of two covering the most distance on the day with 9 laps (finishing second overall on time) whilst Paul Parry was 3rd with 8 laps. Kate Thorneloe made it over 50 km in 7 laps (and also 3rd lady!) whilst Tom Richardson, Cara Bradley and Sarah Bell all made it 6 laps. Michelle Atherton made it a good marathon training run with 5 laps.
