Sunday 15th saw several Harriers head East to the Humber Coastal Half Marathon and 10k at Cleethorpes which saw Roy Turner bag a nice little token to bring home as took first in Age Category. Starting at 10 am the 10k with runners starting by the leisure centre and heading South before looping back around the coastal path to mix up the mostly paves course with a bit of sand to keep things interesting. Natalie Cunningham was the first Harrier back with an excellent run, showing strong fitness as she ran her fastest bonafide 10k for many years in 50:32. Following just behind saw Roy Tuner not only running a great time in 57:01 but well clear off his compeition by several minutes as he took 1st V75 with partner Carolyn Luckham rounding out the 10k runners in 1:10:08
The 10k runners were barely back as the Half Marathon got underway following a similar course with a further loop out South which included some scenic but exposed trails on the local nature reserves as two Marathons in waiting made it a superb week of training. Matt Daly ran an excellently paced and relaxed 1:29:33 whilst Rachel Silcock showing some excellent return to form in 1:56:12. Not having to wait long for all the Harriers to come in as Jo Campbell made it two halfs in 7 days as she ran 2:00:31
