This week saw the latest Notts Summer League seniors race, hosted at Worksop College by our clubm and what a night it was! 28 men and 19 women took part in the racing on the night. As importantly, we had over 20 fabulous volunteers who organised, marshalled, handed out water, tokens, tail ran and looked after over 350 runners on the night. It was an incredible evening of racing and supporting, and we want to say a massive thank you and well done to everyone involved!

The ladies team took their first overall win of the series, with our very own Hannah Miller coming in 1st lady, which is an incredible result for our women against all the Notts clubs. The men took 2nd place overall, 3rd vets team and are now 2nd overall in the series. Alongside that we have a number of individual medal contenders, so lots to race for next time! what an incredible club!

Thursday saw regular fell runners Sarah Morgan and Kerry Dickinson take on the Blacka Moor feel race, a 4.5 mile race with plenty of elevation and gorgeous views across the Peak District. Well done to both on a very warm evening!

The weekend saw match 3 of the Northern League track and field competition, with a handful of Harriers travelling to Lincolnshire to take part in varoius events. Bryan Cherry took on the 5000m, with Alfie Scattergood, Lyndon Cupit and Zac Ellery competing in a range of events. Alfie took 1st in the 400m, Zach 1st in 200 and 3rd in 100m and Lyndon took 1st in both of his races, absolutely smashing his 100m to finish well clear of the field to the point he looked like he was running alone at the finish! Fantastic efforts and some brilliant results!

On Saturday into Sunday, we had a number of Harriers take on the Manvers Dusk Til Dawn event, a 12 hour event starting Saturday evening and lasting until sunrise Sunday. Well done to Sam Thorneloe completing 13 miles, Stu McCluskie and Jo Campbell completing a marathon each, and then with huge distances of 47-48 miles seasoned ultra runners Kate Thorneloe, Charlotte Randall and Neil Allsop who well and truly squeezed every mile out of the event!!

Finally, a number of Harriers decided to try something different this week, and thanks to organiser Sarah Cherry, got together to play Padel. Safe to say that most of the group won't be swtiching sports or getting any call ups to the Olympics any time soon, but it was brilliant fun and a chance for us to get together and do something completely different.

Another fabulous week for this brilliant club!
