Just two events to report on but a packed weekend of events as we start with the popular Wilne 10k with some excellent success in the prizes and on the PB front. Starting with the ladies Hannah Miller snuck in to the prizes finishing 6th overall and the first of a couple PB's with another for Darcie Wadnidge. Lots of great runs as Gabs Bower followed shortly with Tamara Hazluehurst, Cathy Mhembere, Deb Ball and Sally Bulmer making it a strong showing for the ladies.

On to the Gent's race and Matt Daly ran a superb race just outside his PB as he tapers for a big one this coming weekend, whilst Nick Mould, Stephen Robinson-Day and Dave Bulmer completed our Men's squad with David leaving the race with a bit of memorabilia following a finishing sprint with the king (of Rock n Roll) himself!

Furthest away and most miles for the week saw Bryan Cherry enjoy the perfect running break as he took on the Scilly 60 on the Isle of Scilly. 60 km across four of the islands saw an epic adventures for Bry has he navigated the 60 km of running against the clock as he chased multiple cut offs having to reach a port on each island to island hop on a boat to the next stage!

Just across the border back in Nottinghamshire the final County Dev League of the year took parts at Berry Hill with a superb turn out from Harriers of all ages seeing us cover just about every event! 17 athletes took part, accumulating 53 events between them covering the full range of track and field disciplines with plenty of personal best performances and many top three placings. With this many athletes competing in so many events there was a real team atmosphere and something which we can really build on for the future, because with parents and friends in attendance this makes for a great day out and family event. The athletes don't pay to compete and can try out new events in a supportive environment. In addition to the athletes, we had Mark Hazlehurst, Peter Fendley, Caroline McGinley and Chris Johnson officiating several events, on the track and in the field.
