A mix of track and trails for the Harriers this weekend as we start at the City of Steel Open Isaac Beresford was competing in the High Jump where he equalled his PB before going on to score a SB in the 100 m. Alicia Wells also ran a 100m hurdles pb. Her time of 15.69s moving her up to 9th place on the UK rankings for this year. Summer Johnson, competing with Alicia at Sheffield, ran a solid 80m hurdles in 13.51s and followed this up with another good long jump performance with a leap of 4.45m.

Down the road at Loughborough Charlotte Ayton continued her excellent start to the outdoor season, running a massive 200m pb and going under 27s for the first time with a performance of 26.37s. Charlotte's 100m hurdles run was just as impressive, improving her time from 18s down to 16.43s. Equally impressive, all of these athletes, along with the rest of their teammates, can look forward to some very good Pentathlon, Heptathlon and Decathlon Championship results later in the season.

Off the track and on to the trails for the for our senior runners this weekend as we kick off at the inaugural Market Rasen 10k. A good mix of road, trails and county paths with an excellent post race medal. Nick Mould finished first Harrier in 45:26, Roy Turner in 57:33 and Carolyn Luckham despite not being a fast course making the most of the day to run her fastest 10k in sometime in 1:06:14.

Over on the East Coast and stunning day out at The Charm Bracelet Marathon and Half in Cleveland/ North Yorkshire. Setting off from Redcar on the King Charles lll coastal path before linking up with the Cleveland way all the way down to Whitby on the marathon and Staithes on the half. Fantastic scenery and plenty of steep climbs and descents on the Cleveland way. Kerry Dickinson and Sally & Jim Staveley took on the full Marathon finishing in 7:19 as a pair and 6:15 for Jim, whilst Gemma Hind taking on the half (finishing in Staithes for 14 miles!) in 3:05.
